ABOUT THE SPEAKER:
Annie Hill leads The Hill Tribe Family Office, a philanthropic investment group focused on creating pathways to employment. Her journey began in 1984 as a 'Fry Chick' at McDonald's in South Australia, where she met her husband, Richard. Together, they moved to Western Australia in 1992 and achieved their dream of owning a McDonald's franchise in 1997 with the opening of McDonald's Kalgoorlie.
Annie's career is marked by her passionate leadership and community impact. She founded the first regional Ronald McDonald House Ball in 2001, now known as the Goldfields Children’s Charity Annual Fundraising Ball, and chaired the RMH Perth Ball in 2017 and 2018. Within McDonald's, she championed leadership and mentorship, playing a key role in forming the Australian Women’s Leadership Network (AWLN) Chapter and leading the AWLN Franchise Group.
Her dedication to mentoring led her to join the Board of 12 Buckets, a school-based early intervention charity, in 2019. Known for her vibrant leadership style, Annie holds the title Director of Awesomeness, focusing on well-being, values, and culture transformation. Despite personal challenges, including the loss of her husband Richard to lung cancer in 2022, Annie remains committed to uplifting others and supporting charities that empower youth and foster diversity.
Looking ahead, The Hill Tribe Family Office is expanding its impact by developing a Community Hub at its Malaga premises, fostering meaningful collaborations that create innovative employment pathways for diverse communities.
