ABOUT VEDIC MEDITATION
A course in Vedic Meditation will give you a deep understanding of the mechanics of the body and mind inside meditation. In 4x90 minute sessions, you’ll become a self-sufficient, expert meditator. Drawn from the ancient Indian knowledge base of The Veda, Vedic Meditation is a mantra-based technique, practiced for 20 minutes, twice per day. We sit comfortably with eyes closed and our back supported, allowing the body and the mind to settle down to its least excited state. We transcend. Rather than trying to restrict the mind, with the use of your personalised mantra, the mind is charmed to go beyond thought. This is called this Transcendence. This transcendent style of meditation is easy & sustainable.
Once your practice is done, it's back into action - ready to enjoy whatever the day has to offer.
WHAT TO EXPECT
The Vedic Meditation technique is taught in person in 4 x 90-minute sessions over four consecutive days.
Day 1: Wednesday 23rd October: 1:1 at a time that suits (60mins)
Day 2: Thursday 24th October: 6:30pm - 8:00pm
Day 3: Friday 25th October: 4:00pm - 5:30pm
Day 4: Saturday 26th October: 2:00pm - 3:30pm
Think small intimate groups in the stunning and comfortable setting of Lawson Flats. You will receive a personalised mantra; we’ll meditate together, and we’ll dive deep into the details of this 6,000-year-old technique. You’ll learn the mechanics of meditation and how to understand and embrace the natural tenancies of the body and mind inside meditation. We’ll discuss home practice and how to smoothly integrate it into your daily schedule.
This important student-teacher relationship lasts a lifetime and includes support such as:
- A standing invitation to our weekly group meditations (online & in person)
- A follow up check in session with me to field any questions you might have about your practice
- Warmly welcomed to re-sit the course or any part of the course, whenever we are running them in the future (usually monthly).
