This event has ended.
In partnership with WA Good Food Guide, we’re thrilled to be hosting the brilliant cook, author, social enterprise legend, and long-time Jamie Oliver collaborator, Danny McCubbin in the Lawson Flats Lounge for the launch of his new book, The Good Kitchen.
In 2020, Danny moved from London to a remote town in Sicily and soon after launched The Good Kitchen, a community kitchen which - amongst other things - uses surplus food from supermarkets to create meals for vulnerable people and the elderly. A project that’s as much about social connection as it is feeding a community.
Join us for what will be an inspirational and meandering conversation as WAGFG editor Max Brearley delves into Danny’s journey from Australia to London, his work alongside Jamie Oliver, his social enterprise epiphany, and how he eventually ended up in Sicily. And of course his new book, featuring recipes from the likes of Jamie Oliver, Stephanie Alexander, and Gennaro Contaldo.
All welcome. Doors 5pm (bar open to all ticket holders)
Talk starts 6.30pm for approximately one hour including audience Q&A
