What do you call a lawyer-in-training that decides to become a chef? If we’re talking about chef Blaze Young, the answer, in a single word, is “impressive”.
Whether she’s serving pitch-perfect renditions of pub favourites at Edward & Ida’s; showcasing yesteryear classics at Nieuw Ruin; or slinging elite toasties at Foxtrot Unicorn, Young is a cooking talent with a clear understanding of both taste and technique.
She’s also very much a chef on the up. If being named the WA Good Food Guide chef of the year in February is any indication of what’s in store, eaters have much to look forward to.
Blaze joins Yes, Chef! host Max Veenhuyzen on Monday June 30 for a far-reaching chat that will touch on industry observations, switching careers, the value of strong mentors and making a change.
Doors open from 5pm. The talk starts at 6.15pm and will run for approximately an hour plus audience Q&A. Afterwards, everyone is invited upstairs to Luis' to continue the conversation and connection.
LF Members: Free
General Admission: $15 (includes a drink!)
All welcome in Luis' for drinks and dinner before or after the talk. Reserve a table with concierge here.
