Yes, Chef! host Max Veenhuyzen returns to LF for another unmissable conversation with one of Perth's hospitality veterans.
“Being born a Calabrian and a Garreffa, I have won the lottery of life,” writes Vince Garreffa in The Flesh In My Life: the popular butcher’s memoirs. Our man’s windfall, it has to be said, also spelled good things for Perth. After learning the craft of butchery from Frank and Carl Torre, Garreffa opened Mondo di Carne in Midland in 1979 and has been helping West Australians eat better since. For the April Yes, Chef!, Garreffa chats to host Max Veenhuyzen about a life spent feeding and serving those around him - not least the countless lives that have been brightened by the Mondo Community Warriors charity established by Garreffa and his wife Anne - and the lessons he's learned along the way.
Doors open from 5pm. The talk starts at 6.15pm and will run for approximately an hour plus audience Q&A. Afterwards, everyone is invited upstairs to Luis' to continue the conversation and connection. Drop concierge a note to reserve your table here.
