Did you hear the one about the curry canteen that popped up in a Margaret River skate park after dark? That curry canteen was Dahl Daddy’s. And for two years, former boilermaker Corey Rozario and Imogin Mitchell thrilled locals and out-of-towners alike with spirited riffs on Burmese and other South Asian dishes including, naturally, world-class dahl.
Corey and Imogin join Yes, Chef! host Max Veenhuyzen on Monday October 20 to discuss the origin story of one of WA’s most unlikely restaurants, closing shop, lessons learned from the Dahl Daddy’s national tour, and what’s next on the agenda.
Doors open from 5pm. The talk starts at 6.15pm and will run for approximately an hour plus audience Q&A. Afterwards, everyone is invited upstairs to Luis to continue the conversation and connection and to get stuck into some of that legendary dahl.
