When you ask an American, or a Brit, or pretty much anyone outside of Australia about things they know about Australia - they’ll invariably mention snakes, spiders, crocodiles and sharks. They may also mention that WA is Australia’s largest state (about as big as Western Europe!) and that most of it is sparsely populated and extremely arid.

Now operating for 96 years, the Royal Flying Doctor Service in WA retrieves 28 people EACH DAY via their five bases (Broome, Port Hedland, Meekatharra, Kalgoorlie and Jandakot). Join us to hear from Judith Barker, the CEO of the RFDS (Western Operations). Judith was previously CEO of St. John Ambulance in the Northern Territory, having started her career as a paramedic, and has worked in emergency health for more than 25 years. She’s an Adjunct Associate Professor at Charles Darwin University and an Associate Fellow of the Australasian College of Health Service Management.
