Public Event Social Events Talks at Lawson

This event has ended.

The world is warming. The stakes are rising. And decisions are being made—often without us.

In this latest edition of Spaceship Earth, interviewer and WA Climate Leaders founder Meri Fatin, returns to Lawson Flats to host a vital conversation on reporting, activism and democracy in the climate space.

We’ll open with the recent decision to extend the life of the North West Shelf, but the conversation won’t stop there. How is information shaped and shared in the public domain? What role do everyday citizens—and truth-tellers—play in holding power to account? And what happens when the system stops listening?

Joining the conversation:
Kate Hulett, artist, business owner, and former Independent candidate who ran on a platform of integrity, community, and climate at both state and federal levels
Peter Milne, climate journalist and founder of Boiling Cold
Dr Richard Yin, Chair of the Conservation Council of WA and Vice President of Doctors for the Environment

This is a panel that brings media, medicine, politics and activism into one room—with time for your questions, too.

Doors from 5:30PM (bar open)
Conversation begins at 6:30PM
Wraps by 7:45PM – bar and restaurant open after, book a table here.

– LF Members:  Free
